A Connected Atlanta

Delvin’s Vision for Safe, Accessible, and Equitable Transportation

Delvin Davis envisions a transportation network in Atlanta that is safe, accessible, and equitable for all residents. By prioritizing the needs of the community, we can ensure that every individual has the ability to move freely and efficiently throughout the city.

For our city to thrive, it must be accessible—to everyone. Investing in public transportation means cleaner air, less traffic congestion, and more opportunity for all Atlantans, no matter where they live or how they move through the city.

Growing up here in Atlanta, I relied on MARTA for most of my young adult life. It was my lifeline—for picking up groceries, getting to school, going to doctor’s appointments, and heading downtown for Hawks and Falcons games. That experience is why I’m personally committed to investing in and expanding MARTA.

Through the More MARTA program, we have a major opportunity to modernize and expand our transit system—and we can’t afford to waste it. I will fight to ensure those funds are used equitably, transparently, and with real community input.

1. Expand and Improve MARTA

  • Accelerate investment in More MARTA to connect more neighborhoods and reduce wait times.

  • Expand bus rapid transit (BRT), light rail, and high-capacity routes to underserved areas.

  • Push for better station access, cleanliness, and safety across the entire system.

2. Build a Safer, More Walkable City

  • Expand Complete Streets projects that redesign roads to safely accommodate pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, and drivers—with dedicated lanes for each.

  • Upgrade intersections and sidewalks to ensure they are ADA-compliant and safe for wheelchairs, strollers, and seniors.

  • Improve lighting, signage, and traffic-calming in high-pedestrian areas to protect lives.

3. Support Smart, Green Transportation

  • Advocate for the BeltLine Rail expansion, connecting more communities through sustainable, high-quality transit.

  • Build protected bike and scooter lanes across the city for safe micromobility.

  • Integrate electric buses and clean-energy vehicles into the city’s fleet to reduce emissions and modernize infrastructure.

Transportation is about more than getting from Point A to Point B—it’s about freedom, opportunity, and dignity. Every neighborhood in Atlanta—especially in District 12, where transportation and infrastructure have been underfunded for too long—deserves safe, reliable, and affordable ways to move.

I’m committed to building a transportation system that reflects the Atlanta we are—and the one we aspire to be.
