City Services That Work: Delvin’s Commitment to the Basics That Matter
Ambition and big ideas are essential for a city of Atlanta’s size and influence. We should aim high and push our city forward. But at the same time, it’s often the little things that City Hall does—or fails to do—that make the most immediate impact on our daily lives.
Whether your trash gets picked up on time. Whether the streetlights on your block are working. Whether the sewer system is functional and the streets are free of potholes and broken pavement. These are the kinds of basic services that shape how we feel about our city and whether it feels like it’s working for us—or failing us.
Right now, we aren’t delivering these core services well enough. Too many residents are left frustrated by delays, poor maintenance, and a lack of responsiveness from City Hall. You deserve better—and you will get better with Delvin representing you on the City Council.
It is also essential that the city delivers major public projects—like the More MARTA program and Moving Atlanta Forward—on time, with clear, consistent communication to the public. Voters approve these programs because they want to see real, tangible progress—and they deserve regular updates and accountability for results.
As your next Council member, Delvin will make it a priority to improve both day-to-day services and long-term project delivery—because strong cities are built on strong, reliable foundations.

1. Get Back to Basics—And Do Them Right
• Hold the city accountable for timely, consistent trash and recycling pickup so that no resident is left wondering when their services will arrive.
• Repair potholes and broken streets faster, with a publicly available tracking system so residents can see when their requests will be handled.
• Improve lighting across neighborhoods—especially in underserved areas—to enhance public safety and quality of life.
• Ensure the sewer and stormwater systems are functional and properly maintained to reduce flooding and infrastructure failures.
2. Make Services More Responsive and Transparent
• Modernize the 311 system so residents can easily report problems and track the city’s response in real time.
• Create accountability metrics for core city services—published and available to all—so the public can measure progress.
• Advocate for better coordination between departments so residents aren’t bounced from agency to agency when seeking basic help.
• Ensure on-time project delivery with clear public communication for major initiatives like More MARTA, Moving Atlanta Forward, and other infrastructure programs—so that voters see the results they were promised.
3. Build a City That Works for Everyone
• Prioritize equity in service delivery so that all neighborhoods—not just a few—receive consistent attention and maintenance.
• Engage with neighborhood associations and civic groups to identify persistent issues and ensure City Hall is listening and responding.
• Champion investments in long-term infrastructure maintenance so that future generations benefit from a city that is built to last.

You deserve a city where the lights come on, the streets are safe and clean, the buses and trains run on time, and public services are delivered with respect and consistency. Delvin will fight to make sure City Hall gets the basics right—because that’s what makes life in Atlanta better for everyone.
